basketball was a pugs adoption from lex at lunar lex petz. "basketball" was the placeholder name given to her by lex, but i thought it was so fitting for a fat orange cat that i decided to keep it.

this is a cat that wants to be bad, but aside from the permanent rbf, she doesn't really pull it off. despite the fiery glare she directs at every pet who dares infiltrate her presence, which she believes to be accentuated by her killer eyeliner, very few are intimidated by such a round and squishy creature whose vocabulary of insults doesn't extend far beyond "your mom" jokes. further going against her desire to be perceived as a clique-minded teenager, she is secretly incredibly empathetic and caring for others, expressing visible concern for anyone who seems a bit down in the dumps. she makes an excellent babysitter for younger petz, and has been observed cuddling with them! never say this to her though -- she will never admit it, and will hate you forever.

basketball is also a rare instance of a cat capable of learning tricks, but despite her maximum intelligence value, she hasn't learned anything yet...aside from shooting hoops, perhaps?
